After the completion of the contract as the Distributor for Suzuki in the year 1985, the company moved on to being authorised distributors for Europel and Fiat for 5 years. Subsequently in 1988, the company became representative for distributor’s for Proton EON (Edaran Otomobil Nasional Berhad). As part of business expansion, the company embarked to become a service agent for EON in the year 1997 under the subsidiary of Zaman Motors namely Segar Rampai (M) Sdn Bhd for 10 years. Following the success in developing the business, the company moved on to Jalan Kuala Kangsar ipoh in the year 1992. However, in the year 2003, the company moved-forward from representing Proton EON to representing sales for Proton Edar.

In 2004, the company increased vehicle sales by becoming a KIA Motors distributor under the umbrella of the Zaman Motors Group (ZMG), under its subsidiary known as Alasan Abadi Sdn Bhd. Alasan Abadi Sdn Bhd was established on 23 March 1992, which then registered name was changed to AA Vehicle Mart Sdn Bhd. Due to unfair stock allocation between branches and dealers despite high demand, the company withdrew as a Naza KIA dealer in July 2009.

Following tremendous success in 2007, Dagangan Rakyat Sdn Bhd which was established on 4 April 2008, a subsidiary of ZMG was setup. It bacem a distributor of used imported vehicles under the patronage of the Naza World Sdn Bhd group. Due to insufficient stock allocation and unsatisfactory monthly sales activities, the company withdrew as a distributor of the group in early 2009. Today, Dagangan Rakyat successfully cultivates palm oil on an area of 250 hectares located in Tanjung Tualang, Kampung Gajah, Perak.

Besides having involvement in the automobile industry, ZMG has emerged as a major player in the tourism and property development sectors with the inception of its subsidiaries Faza Holidays Sdn Bhd, AA Airport Services Sdn Bhd and Zaman Warta Sdn Bhd respectively.
